SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position works under close supervision and is considered entry to Junior Engineer level. Learn to apply knowledge to non-routine situations, seeking guidance when needed. Perform most work activities with some degree of independent judgement.
· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
· Prepare finite element models of components and assemblies with supervision.
· Prepare Engineering drawings using CAD softwares.
· Assist Quality Engineering group to create CMM templates and to manage data.
· Participate in the design development process by providing recommendations through written analysis reports and input during design review meetings.
· Assist in the product design using FEA tools to meet the functional objectives negotiated with the customer.
· Strive to exceed the customer’s expectations by offering multiple solutions to resolve issues when possible.
· Flexible to work in different engineering departments.
· Offer creative solutions to design and/or development issues.
· Participate in product design reviews to support the product and manufacturing teams.
· Maintains records of activities and results.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
· Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
· Comply with central, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
· Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS
The colleague will report directly to the Manager-CAE or Manager-CAD. Colleague interfaces on a limited basis with product and manufacturing engineers. Improve skills and knowledge in Product design, analysis and Quality engineering under the guidance of managers and senior colleagues.
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering.
· One (1) year experience.
· Knowledge of CAD/CAE software and GD&T.
· Knowledge of Quality Engineering concepts.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
· Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
· Proactive problem solving skills with an ability to operate with minimal supervision.
· Ability to convey technical detail to a non-technical audience.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
· Fluent in English speaking. Ability to read and write in English clearly.
· Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Duties include but are not limited to: stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear. Ability to travel. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration and hazardous materials.
